GENERAL INFORMATION

Do you offer rates that are not all-inclusive? No, we only provide all-inclusive package rates.

Is there a specific smoking policy? Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited throughout most of the resort, including common areas, dining venues, bars, suites, suite decks, and balconies. We do, however, offer designated smoking areas. A cleaning fee will be incurred for smoking in smoke-free areas. 

Is a credit card required at check-in? Yes. A pre-authorized hold may be applied.

Is pre-arrival check-in available? No, we do not offer pre-arrival check-in.

Upon arrival, can I upgrade my room? Yes, additional fees apply, and upgrades are subject to availability.

Do I need to bring money and exchange my currency when I arrive? Your all-inclusive package includes meals, drinks, entertainment, and many activities. However, we recommend bringing extra cash for off-site expenses, spa services, tours, and transfers. The resort provides currency exchange services subject to availability. Cash payments are accepted in US Dollars and in the local currency.

Is there a secure place to keep valuables? In-room safes are included in all room categories. Our resort is not liable for unattended items.

Are children allowed at the resort? Yes, guests of all ages are welcome.

What is the tipping policy? All tips and gratuities are included in your all-inclusive package. Our staff welcomes additional tips if services exceed your expectations.

Can I drink the local water? The resort provides bottled water for your convenience and ensures access to filtered drinking water at all times.

Does the resort provide medical services or support? Yes, available on a 24-hour basis for an additional cost.

What is the minimum age for check-in? 18 years of age.

Is Kimpton Tres Rios a pet-friendly hotel? Pets are allowed at Kimpton properties, however, to assist in protecting the resorts’ local ecosystem, we kindly encourage you to leave them at home. Please contact the resort before your arrival for the most up-to-date policy.

Are babysitting services available? Babysitting services are available and subject to additional fees, availability, and terms of service. For more information, please contact the resort.

What credit cards does the resort accept? Visa, MasterCard, and American Express only.

Is there an ATM at the hotel?  Yes, the resort has an ATM available for your convenience. Please note that depending on your bank, fees may apply.

What is concierge service? Our concierge desk assists with questions and booking both on-site and off-site activities. The desk is available from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Does the hotel offer mobility-accessible services? Yes, we offer mobility-accessible suites, which can be booked by contacting our reservations desk directly. The resort is equipped with ramps in most common areas.

What's included in my all-inclusive package? All drinks and meals, on-site entertainment, fitness facilities, non-motorized aquatic sports, daily activities, in-room minibar, and free WiFi. Multiple social activities are also included.

Does the resort offer a Day Pass service? Yes, subject to availability based on occupancy. For further information and bookings, please contact the resort.


TRANSPORTATION

How far is the resort from the airport? The resort is approximately 49.8 kilometers (about 30.94 miles) away from the airport, and the drive typically takes around 42 minutes.

Are airport transfers included? No. However, the resort can assist in arranging airport transfers offered by third-party vendors at an additional cost. Contact us directly to book.

Does the hotel provide transportation around the local areas? No, but the front desk can assist in calling a local taxi service.

Is parking available at the resort? Yes, we offer guest-only free self-service parking. Valet parking is available.


DINING

What are the dress codes for the different restaurants?

Resort Casual: Bathing suits must be covered.

Smart Casual: No tank tops, beach sandals, flip flops, bathing suits, or sports/beach shorts.

Resort Formal: No t-shirts, tank tops, beach sandals, flip flops, bathing suits, shorts, or hats.

General: Shoes, shorts, and tops must be worn. No wet clothes allowed.

Dress codes are subject to the discretion of each venue and may change.

Do I need to make dinner reservations? Dinner reservations are highly recommended to ensure you enjoy your preferred dining experience at your ideal time. While some restaurants may accept walk-ins based on availability, we encourage you to contact our Culinary Concierge or use our Digital Concierge tool to secure your reservation in advance.

Are there options for vegetarians or special dietary needs? Yes, the resort offers thoughtfully curated gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Our culinary team is happy to accommodate any special dietary needs—simply let us know in advance so we can ensure your dining experience is as personalized and enjoyable as possible.

What dining options are available for kids? Children's menus are available at all restaurants. Guests will have access to a Digital Concierge tool to view specific menus.

Do you offer premium branded spirits? Yes, cocktails with international and national premium branded spirits are included. Specialty wines and spirits, like champagne, are available for purchase.

Is there room service? Yes, 24-hour all-inclusive suite service is available. A service fee per request applies. 

Are there age requirements for entering bars? Yes, the legal drinking age is 18+.

Do any restaurants or bars close during certain times of the year? Yes, they may close temporarily for renovations or maintenance. Check the weekly schedule with our concierge team.

Do you offer private or romantic dining services? Yes, subject to an additional fee. For further information, please consult with our Concierge Desk, or call us directly. 


ACCOMMODATIONS

Can we request adjoining or connecting rooms? Yes, at an additional cost and subject to availability. They can be arranged on-site upon arrival.

Do you offer accessible rooms for people with disabilities or limited mobility? Yes, we offer ground-floor suites equipped with accessible bathrooms and handrails. Contact us to learn more and book. Most common areas are wheelchair accessible.

Can I book a specific room online? You may only book a room category, not a specific room.

What is the difference between an Ocean View and an Oceanfront room? Oceanfront rooms offer unobstructed ocean views. Ocean View rooms offer partial ocean views.

Are there balconies in all rooms? Yes, all rooms have either a terrace or balcony, varying in dimensions and views.

What types of beverages are included in the rooms? Bottled water, soft drinks, juice, and beer.

What type of beds are offered? King and Queen beds. Some family suites may offer Sofa bed or roll-out beds. Details are outlined on our suites page.

Do I need to bring an electrical adapter? Suites are equipped with standard North American sockets (Type A, sometimes Type B). Bring an adaptor if using non-North American devices. Rooms do not offer 220V sockets.

What type of activities are included in my stay? At Kimpton Tres Ríos, your stay is enriched with activities that seamlessly connect you to nature, wellness, and adventure. Kayaking, cycling, hiking, and yoga, are amongst the activities included your all-inclusive package. More details are outlined in our Activities page or can be consulted via our Digital Concierge app. 

What is the difference between an activity and an excursion/tour? Activities are included in your stay, like games and fitness classes. Excursions or tours are optional off-site activities at an additional cost.

How can I arrange tours and excursions? Contact our on-site tour desk. External tours are available at an additional cost.

Are cabanas available for rent? Yes, for an extra fee, bookable per day.

Are spa treatments included? No, spa and beauty treatments are available at an additional cost.

What types of fitness activities are offered? Access to a fully-equipped gym, cross-fit, power walks, yoga, aqua-zumba, core stretching, and aqua-cycling. Fitness activities are subject to change and availability.

What types of watersports are offered? Catamarans, kayaks, paddleboards, hobie cats, and an introductory diving tutorial. Watersports are subject to change and availability.

What activities are offered for children? A variety of activities, including a dedicated kids club.

Is entertainment included? Yes, daily entertainment is available. Consult with our concierge desk for more details.

Do you offer on-site photography services? Yes, they can be arranged on-site at an additional cost.

Are the pools heated? No, our pools are generally temperate throughout the year and do not need heating.
